Goblin Army

Random dawn check after the world's first Shadow Orb / Crimson Heart has been broken, or summoned manually with a Goblin Battle Standard.

Defeat 80 + 40×players goblins (scaled)
Spawns
Goblin Peon, Sorcerer, Thief, Warrior, Archer, Summoner spawn on the surface near a player.
Rewards
Goblin Battle Standard, Harpoon, Ale, Spiky Ball, Tattered Cloth, Goblin Tinkerer rescue prerequisite.

Old One's Army

Place an Eternia Crystal on an Eternia Crystal Stand (purchased from the Tavernkeep).

5–7 waves depending on tier

Etherian goblins, kobolds, javelin throwers, lightning bugs, dark mages, ogres, and Betsy (T3 only) spawn from portals.

Defender Medals → Squire/Apprentice/Huntress/Monk armor sets, sentry weapons, pets.

Martian Madness

Walk near a Martian Probe (random Hardmode spawn) and let it scan you and fly off — the invasion begins shortly after.

Slime Rain

Random ~1/450k chance per second during daytime, requires at least one player at 120 max HP.

9–15 hours until 150 slimes killed (summons King Slime)

Constant slime spawns on the surface across all biomes.
Rewards

Blood Moon Fishing

Fish during a Blood Moon — special pool of catches becomes available.

Lunar Event (Celestial Pillars)

Defeat the Lunatic Cultist.

Until all four pillars are destroyed

Master Mode difficulty stacked on whatever mode you pick. Smaller world feel, enemies hit harder, bosses re-skinned, rare drops boosted.

  • World feels smaller — visual scale of UI/enemies is enlarged
  • All enemies hit roughly twice as hard as Master Mode
  • Bosses get new color palettes and behaviors
  • Trees explode into TNT Barrels, vampire bunnies replace bunnies on the surface
  • Underworld lava is replaced with shimmer
  • Many rare-drop chances are doubled

An inverted world — spawn in the Underworld; the world is flipped vertically.

  • Player spawns in the Underworld instead of the surface

  • Surface, Underground and Cavern layers are all Jungle biomes
